MRT Malaysia and Beijing–Shanghai High-Speed Railway – OnlyAtMalaysia.blogspot.com
Would you believe it? It cost Malaysia a whopping USD 17 billion (RM 53 billion) to build the Sungai Buloh MRT at a distance of only 150km. In other words, a cost of USD 113 million per km. In China, Bejing - Shanghai High-Speed Railway (fastest train in the world at 350km per hour) with a distance of 1,318km only cost USD 32 billion. In other words, a cost of USD 24 million per km.

Why don't ask the Chinese to build it?
